Yesterday we started this new series of articles in which we are going to talk about 20 tricks for Android that perhaps you did not know. Yesterday we talked about how to access Quick Settings quickly. Today we are going to see how to activate developer options on Android 4.4 KitKat.
iOS users have always criticized something in Android, and it is the amount of adjustments that the operating system has. In fact, some of these settings were not understood by most users. For example, before any user could activate the developer options very easily, and make changes to the smartphone, without knowing what he was doing. For example, a user might be turning on secondary display simulation, or turning on GPU profile rendering, or enabling OpenGL traces.
In Android 4.4 KitKat, developer options were changed so that users couldn’t access them unless they first turned on developer options. And therefore, we are going to talk about how to activate the developer options in Android 4.4 KitKat.
The process is really simple, but you have to know it. You have to go to Settings, and then access About phone. Now, you will have to click seven times on Build number. We will see that a message will appear informing us that we have already activated the developer options.
In order to access these options, all you have to do is go to Settings, and locate Developer Options there. Keep in mind that in order to activate or deactivate the different options, we will first have to press the button that appears in the upper right corner, which enables all the options, and then we can modify each of the developer options.
