It is Friday again and with this we are approaching a new week of premieres on Apple TV +, although the year has only just begun for the platform. In addition to the premiere of a new film based on a Shakespeare play today, we also have a round of news about upcoming releases and renewals of series that are much loved by the public.

And, although we are going to tell you about it here, we remind you that on Fridays we broadcast a special episode of our daily podcast in which Álvaro García (server) reviews all the latest news on Apple TV+, in addition to leaving reviews of this content. In the episode broadcast today, a review is made of everything that happened during this month and what is to come in the next.

Tragedy? Macbeth is now available on Apple TV+

Although the title in Spanish does not include the word tragedy, “Macbeth” has already officially landed on the platform after several previews have been made in theaters around the world. The film is an adaptation of the classic play by William Shakespeare and features actors such as Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Paddy Considine and Sean Harris. The story, in case you don’t know the original work, focuses on the prophecy received by the Duke of Scotland, Macbeth, who is said to one day become king and his ambition leads him to assassinate the current monarch.

Servant is back next week

The Turner family mysteries are back. Or almost. And it is that next week the first episode of the third season of servant. The acclaimed series by M. Night Shyamalan will broadcast a new chapter every week from the next until March 25, when it will end. Although, yes, the series has already confirmed a fourth and final season that would arrive in 2023.

Also next week The Afterparty, a promising series created by the ‘Oscar winners’ Chris Miller and Phil Lord. The plot mixes three a priori incompatible genres such as comedy, drama and mystery. It focuses on a murder lived on a night out and throughout its eight chapters the mystery will be revealed through the vision of each of its protagonists.

And since the classics never die, The Fraguels either. A new sequel with the nickname “the fun continues” is what now concerns the puppets created by Jim Henson. We remember that this is the second version of this classic that Apple TV + premieres exclusively and we are sure that not only the little ones will enjoy it, since even the nostalgic elders will be in front of the screen in this premiere.
